Painting in Water Mixable Oils

Delight in the fun and freedom of painting in oils while working in a safer, more environmentally friendly studio. Eliminate the toxic vapors of solvents in your workplace. Enjoy the blending and mixing of oils with a faster drying and curing time.
Water Mixable Oils may be mixed with traditional oils or with acrylics and with cold wax for interesting results and heavy textures.
In this fun two-day workshop with internationally recognized artist Karen Vernon, students will create at least 2 paintings and learn how to mix colors, develop strong value contrast and interesting compositions.
Students will be given 1 free Gessobord on which to work.
Students should bring their own resource material.

Create colorful watercolor paintings. Students are invited to discover Aquabord, a watercolor painting surface that allows the artist to create more luminous watercolors and present them out from under glass. Students may, if they wish work on paper as well (300# Cold Press).
In this learning filled two-day workshop with internationally recognized artist Karen Vernon, students will focus on the mastery of color, value, and intensity. With this understanding, painters are able to develop stronger more successful paintings in all painting media.
Students will be given 1 free Aquabord on which to work.
Karen will provide resource floral photos. However, students may bring their own resource material of any subject if they choose.
